Astronomy In The Park 2009 was held at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt, August 29th, 2009

There were several solar scopes including a Hydrogen Alpha and white light solar scopes for safely viewing The Sun.

Bill Burnyeat of Vancouver Centre, RASC presented a great audio visual presentation at dusk in The Ampitheatre.

Following Bill's presentation, large crowds gathered behind each of the five telescopes set up on the beach to view The Moon, Jupiter, The Ring Nebula, M13 The Globular Cluster in Hercules and Albireo the finest double star in the Northern Sky.
